CHAOS TROLLS
Ordinary Trolls - if such things could be said to be ordinary - are horrifying
creatures. Massive, twisted parodies of the human form, they are ugly monstrosities
possessed of enormous strength. They have the barest minimum of intelligence,
and the ability to heal injury almost as fast as it can be inflicted that,
together with their natural resilience, can make them almost indestructible.
Much taller than even a Beastlord, even a single Troll is a deadly foe and
capable of rending a soldier limb from limb - when they gather in packs to
feed, Trolls can be counted amongst the most dangerous creatures in the Old
World.
Even more deadly are Chaos Trolls. All Trolls have been affected by Chaos to some extent, as their species is the result of thousands of years of warping influence from the corrupting power of the north. Those that are sometimes seen accompanying warbands of Chaos worshippers, however, have been altered by the power of Chaos more directly.
They sport all manner of mutations, making them even more hideous than their common cousins, and the power of the winds of magic stokes their natural aggression and strength, turning them from mere monsters into some of the most terrible beasts in the armies of Chaos.
