Be Fangs and Claws for You
PAINTING BEASTMEN PLASTICS

Page: 1|2|3|4|5|6

Steps 4 & 5

4: These warriors were going to have Poisoned Attacks thanks to the Vitriolic Totem, and John wanted their weapons to look especially decayed. Start by painting any metal areas Mithril Silver.

5: Apply a wash of Chestnut Ink followed by a wash of Dark Green Ink over any metal areas. Try to apply the washes liberally with lots of water mixed in.

WEATHERED METAL
To make your metal look rusty and decayed, try sprinkling a bit of salt on top of the puddles of your wash. The pigment should collect around the grains of salt. When everything dries, simply brush the salt away, and you will be left with an interesting texture and finish. Try it out on a test piece first to make sure that you like the results.
