The Fall of Medusa V is set to be the biggest global gaming event in history, and as hobbyists across the world prepare their armies, Games Workshop UK decided to kick the event off with something a bit special – The Dark Stars: Medusa V campaign weekend.

Find out about this years global campaign on The Fall of Medusa V website.

PROLOGUE

And so as the Rapidity continues to consume Real and Warp space alike, the population of Medusa V face the reality that they must evacuate or be destroyed along with the planet itself. But as the human populous ready themselves for departure, other races have begun to emerge, each with their own agendas.

Having been sent to the doomed planet to investigate these alien appearances, Ordo Xenos agents under the direction of Inquisitor Thoth have been highly active in and around the Sybilla Tertius hive, the capital city of the region known as Edethor. Governor Norden has been very keen to provide whatever resources are required by the Inquisition, and together, several potential threats have been identified by the Imperium in the lands that surround the major hive city...

THE FIGHTING BEGINS

With the battle lines drawn and the invitations sent, more than 100 gamers descended upon Warhammer World, eager to play a part in the crucial opening moves to this summer's global campaign: The Fall of Medusa V.

Split into sixteen teams, each player would either fight on behalf of one of the alien races on Medusa V, or as the defending Imperial players charged with the containment and destruction of each of the threats. In total, eight Imperial teams would face a combined eight alien race teams: two Ork teams, two Tau Empire teams, two Eldar teams, and two Tyranid teams. Each team, made up of seven players, would then be assigned a sector according to their race, the threat they posed to the hive city, and the briefing they would receive.
