Painting Cityscapes
TIPS FOR PAINTING YOUR BUILDINGS

Painting entire buildings can be very different from painting individual miniatures. Here we share some of the tips and tricks we used to paint buildings. Soon you'll be playing over your very own lavishly painted city of death in no time!

Click to enlargeO nce construction ends and you've used up all the sprues, the painting of your city must begin. Sure, it's fun to build, design, convert, and develop a city's worth of unique buildings to fight over. However, they need paint to be truly done. Painting your newly raised (or razed...) city can be quite a daunting task though when you're looking at 10 or more buildings, each with detailed surfaces!

Fear not, fellow hobbyists. We've assembled a crack-team of painters to experiment with the new plastic building ruins and find fast ways to paint them. Actually, it's a team of one: Ty Finocchiaro. He's compiled a list of helpful painting tips and tricks that might help you speed up your city painting (or reduce the number of difficulties you run into at the very least). Though you might already know some of these, chances are you'll find something new among them, as these buildings are unlike anything Games Workshop has made before.
