If you are a Warhammer 40,000 fan, and you've seen the Cities of Death expansion, then you must have marvelled at the incredible terrain shown within its pages. One of the most interesting features of the expansion is the massive Imperial city built by the Design Studio Hobby Team. They based their table design upon the illustration by Roberto Cirillo found on pp.54-55 of Cities of Death.

Roberto lavished incredible detail on his illustration, from intricate ductwork to inspirational stained glass. It's easy to see how the guys on the Hobby Team – including Dave Andrews, Neil Hodgson, Mark Jones, Chad Mierzwa, Dom Murray, Jeremy Vetock, and Adi Wood – were inspired by this awesome drawing. They immediately set out building the table we see in Cities of Death with Roberto's design in mind.

Lucky for us, the Hobby Team took a bunch of photos while they built their awesome City of Death. While we couldn't show you a step-by-step guide (it would have taken thousands of pictures), this article should give you some idea when you tackle your own projects. Okay, on to the Hobby Team's amazing City of Death table!
