The aim of every person who plays Games Workshop games is to pit their forces of miniatures against other players across fantastic battlefields. Win or lose, all battles are entertaining challenges in which you try to out-think and out-play your opponent, taking advantage of what good luck comes your way, but ultimately relying upon sound tactics to win the day.
Games Workshop creates many different worlds on which to battle with your friends. Our three most popular games are Warhammer - the game of fantasy battles, Warhammer 40,000 - battles in the war-torn 41st millennium, and The Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game.
WARHAMMER

All three games take place on your tabletop. We use "tabletop" as
a catch-all term for any gaming area. You can have a game almost anywhere,
from playing on the floor or kitchen table to a dedicated, scenery-filled gaming
table. No place is spared from the ravages of miniature warfare!
As you play, you'll find that your force may need some extra firepower or a powerful war machine. Watching your army grow larger, stumping your enemy with what you'll bring to bear on his force and then crushing him are all quite satisfying! No matter how large or small your army is, every game is exciting with new challenges that await you!
Most important of all, you are in control! You decide what army you wish to field and what troops you will call upon. You are in charge of your own chosen force, acting as the mighty, all-seeing general, whose commands are quickly executed by his loyal troops. You match wits with your enemy and in the end, whether you win or lose, every single game is an entertaining experience!
