WHERE IS WARHAMMER WORLD?
WHERE IS NOTTINGHAM?
The city of Nottingham is located in the East Midlands, 120 miles north of London, 50 miles north-east of Birmingham.
If you're spending some time in Nottingham, why not visit our Nottingham city centre store on Friar Lane, between the castle and the city centre?
TRAVELLING BY RAIL
Nottingham station has regular rail services from all over Britain. From London, trains leave from, and arrive at, St Pancras station (Victoria line). The journey between London and Nottingham takes about 1 3/4 hours on Intercity.
From Nottingham train station, it's a 10 minute taxi ride to Games Workshop.
TRAVELLING BY CAR
Nottingham lies just east of the M1 motorway, which runs up the middle of the country, from London to Leeds. Leave the motorway at junction 24 or 25.
Warhammer World can also be reached via the M42 (from Birmingham) and the A1.
Free on-site parking is provided for visitors, in front of the shop.
WHERE IS WARHAMMER WORLD?
Our Head Office, which incorporates Warhammer World, the shop and the exhibition centre, is located about 2 miles south-west of Nottingham city centre.
TRAVELLING BY CAR
From the M1 (travelling south) |
Leave at junction 25, and follow the A52 towards Nottingham. After 6 miles, turn south onto the ring road (A52). Turn left at the next exit onto the A6005, heading north-east, towards Nottingham city centre. Turn right at the first set of traffic lights by the church, onto Gregory Street. After about 1/4 mile, turn right onto Willow Road, by Fitchett & Woollacott wood merchants, and Games Workshop is immediately on your left. |
From the M1 (travelling north) |
Leave at junction 24, and follow the A453 north east towards Nottingham. After 8 miles, turn north onto the A52 ring road. Take the A6005 exit, heading north-east, towards Nottingham city centre. Turn right at the first set of traffic lights by the church, onto Gregory Street. After about 1/4 mile, turn right onto Willow Road, by Fitchett & Woollacott wood merchants, and Games Workshop is immediately on your left. |
From the M42/A42 |
Join the M1 at junction 23a, and leave at junction 24. Proceed as 'From the M1 (travelling north)', above. |
From Nottingham city centre |
You need to be heading west on Castle Boulevard - the A6005 - (just south of the castle), away from the city centre. Shortly after MFI on your right, take the first exit at the roundabout, heading south-west, still following the A6005. Turn left at the first set of traffic lights, onto Gregory Street, just before the church. After about 1/4 mile, turn right onto Willow Road, by Fitchett & Wollacott wood merchants, and Games Workshop is immediately on your left. |
You can also get to Nottingham by leaving the M1 at junction 26, and heading south down the A610. This road can get very busy, especially at peak times, so you may find it quicker to travel an extra junction down the motorway.
Free on-site parking is provided for visitors.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
From the city centre or the train station, we'd recommend you catch a taxi. The bus trip isn't easy to describe, and it's a long half hour's walk to Lenton. A taxi ride takes about 10 minutes, and should cost £5 or less. Ask to go to Games Workshop, Willow Road (not the shop on Friar Lane!).
