Jack:
Continuing the theme I’d started previously with the Eldar Avatar, I wanted
to keep certain ideas running through the key characters of my Eldar army.
I began this conversion by taking the Wraithlord’s head and trimming down the long thin crest at the top/rear end. The head was then glued to the rest of the Wraithlord. From there, dreadlocks that had been previously fashioned from Green Stuff were fixed in place. I tried to layer these in such a way as to create a subtle blend where the Wraithlord’s head ended and the dreadlocks began.
Continuing
with the Green Stuff, I fashioned a bandana that would be worn about the Wraithlord’s
left leg. To this, I attached the cloths taken from the Dire Avengers boxed
set and fixed them on the outer edge of the leg.
Realising that I would want to arm the Wraithlord likewise to the Avatar, I took the Wraithlord’s right hand and carefully curved the fingers so that they might better hold an object, such as a spear.
Finally,
I created a duplicate of the spear that I had made for the Avatar, using Egrimm
Van Horstman’s lance, the sword arm from the Avatar and more Green Stuff.
This was then positioned and glued so that it would rest easily in the Wraithlord’s
repositioned right hand.
And so Cecil the Dark Destroyer was born!
