Firstly the Troll's arms were bent forward using the pliers (which are jolly marvellous for repositioning limbs), and then his club was cut away. The end of the shaft (if you’ll pardon the expression) of the Lobber was then cut off and filed down until it fitted between the Troll's hands.
Once again the trusty pliers were used to reposition the hands, and then the war machine was glued together leaving the Lobber arm loose. A merry time was then spent trying to bend the hands into exactly the right place, filing, swearing (and swearing loudly does help, children), pinning and gluing. At the end of this frenzied activity the cut down shaft was between the Troll's hands, the rest of the Lobber arm was attached to the other side, and it was all glued to the rest of the machine.

These were then assembled on a movement base in appropriate positions, with various Ladz and Gobbos added. A merry time was then spent slapping on the paint in the defeated foes colours, having a jolly cackle and gloat as I did so.
The pleasure of gleefully putting the model on the table at the rematch was only slightly marred by the spectacular way I lost the game. Ho hum.
