Daemonhunters Chimera
DAVE TAYLOR'S GUIDE TO MAKING ONE OF THESE TROOP TRANSPORTS

Dave Taylor of the US Promotions Department desperately needed some mobility and added protection for his Inquisitorial retinue, which is very shooty and packs some hard-hitting ranged firepower. To make sure that he can maximise his squad’s shooting potential, Dave constructed this outstanding Chimera to speed his troops off to a good firing position early in the battle.

Dave chose a selection of bitz from the Inquisitor range to adorn his holy transport. (Take a look at the accessory sprues from each character for the best bitz.) The purity seals were made from Green Stuff and pieces of thick paper.

Dave used the template above for the icon on top of the tank. We have provided these image templates that you can trace to make an Inquisitorial icon that will fit the top hatch of a Chimera. Print out this image template, tape it down to a piece of plasticard, and use a sharp hobby knife and a steel-edged ruler to cut out the shape. You may have to adjust your printer settings a bit to get the size right. When it is cut out, simply glue it together and affix it in place of the normal Chimera hatch.

The Chimera was primed black and subtly highlighted with Codex Grey. The red accents were painted Scab Red and highlighted in Blood Red with increasing amounts of Skull White mixed in for each successive highlight. Metallic items were painted Shining Gold and washed with Chestnut Ink. Check out the "before and after" images below to see how all the bits were used.
