There are many deadly Dark Elf characters who have terrorised the Old World for countless centuries. Unfortunately, there are no models for some of these spiteful creatures available for you to use in your games so we held a competition to see who could convert the best ones.
Here Scott Filgo shows us his winning model of Hellebron that he converted for the competition.
Dieter Helsnicht Manticore
Warmaster Chaos Harpies
Dark Eldar Haemonculus
2 Dark Eldar Succubus
Blister Pack of 2001 Witch Elves
Green Stuff
Conversion:
I first glued together the Manticore as normal. I then cut the bases off the Warmaster Chaos Harpies and glued them to the Manticore so they looked like a flight of diabolical sprites accompanying Hellebron's Manticore.
After I had done this I moved on to Hellebron herself. I cut the Dark Eldar Haemonculus in half and used the upper torso for Hellebron. Next I removed all of the Warhammer 40,000 weaponry and trimmed the headpiece down a bit. I cut the Dark Eldar Succubi in half and used the lower torso for Hellebron, bending the feet so as to fit on the Manticore's saddle.
Once the torso had been completed I removed the blades from the Witch Elves and used them for Hellebron's Deathsword and Parrying Blade (any blades will do, but Witch Elf blades are preferable).
I finally used some Green Stuff to create the Manticore's saddle, Hellebron's hair and a red streaming trail behind the Deathsword. A modelling tool is definitely recommended here.
