DWARF SET-UP
Ken had a lot of area to guard and not a lot of troops to do it with. He deployed his Unbreakable Troll Slayers on his right flank to stop any Giants who might make that their path off the table. |
The Longbeards drew the short straw and were placed way out on the left flank of the Dwarf line. They didn't have any support so they were pretty much on their own for the remainder of the game. |
Ken assembled the rest of the Dwarfs along his table edge to stop any Giants moving down the centre. The Warriors were placed to protect the Cannon, and the Dragon Slayer was placed to support the Warriors. The Warriors just needed to survive long enough for the Hero to arrive. |
He deployed in a similar fashion on his left side. The Ironbreakers were placed to charge if the Thunderers got in trouble, and the Dwarf Thane was placed nearby to charge in to help the Ironbreakers. All they had to do was hold on the turn they were charged. |
GIANT SET-UP
Nathan's six Giants barely fit in the 12" x 12" deployment area. Their facing did not give any insight into where they might go once the game began. |
Joining the four Giants that faced Dave Taylor's Ogres were two more Giants that we borrowed from the Glen Burnie GW Hobby Centre. Thanks for all the help, guys! |
