DWARFS TURN 3

Miracle of miracles, the Dwarfs actually got the charge on a unit that was not already locked in combat! "Bert" got just a little too close and the Troll Slayers found their big target to be just in range. |
Thanks to the hearty nature of the Dwarf Warriors, the Giant "Nathan" was held long enough for Ken's Dragon Slayer to pile into the combat. There would be Giant blood on his axes this day! |

Ken broke all his Dwarf records when he managed to charge a third Giant ("Ernie") with his well-placed Longbeards. Ken had his poor pursuit roll to thank for his placement, as a few inches more and he would not have had the line of sight required to strike. |
Outmanoeuvred by "Stu," the Ironbreakers and the Thane general had to reposition themselves to get back into the fight. The Ironbreakers reformed to face the rest of the battle, and the general moved 6" so he was behind the closest Giant. |

Nathan's face sunk with memories of his last game as the Thunderers let loose a volley of hot metal. Ken hit with nine of his 10 soldiers and then, needing 5+, wounded with a ridiculous eight of them, almost enough for two Giants. |
More combat! The Longbeards again made Ken proud as they slugged the Giant for 2 Wounds while taking only 3 of their own. They easily won the combat, but this Giant would not budge. Ken wrapped around the back to maximize the axes that would fall next turn. |

Oh, dear. Nathan finally got a bit of luck when he rolled Jump up and Down and stomped all of the Warriors, save the unit champion. All that right after almost being killed by the charging Dragon Slayer. The unit champion fled. |
The charging Troll Slayers cut into the Giant with their two hand weapons but failed to do any damage despite hitting with seven blows – Giant hide is tough! The Giant struck back with only a single Wound of his own. |
