PAINTING LEOPARD SKINS
Many mercenaries wear the pelts of exotic animals, in particular
the men of Leopold's Leopard Company.
Click on the images below to see a larger picture of each stage.
Stage 1: After priming with Chaos Black
paint apply a mix of equal parts Golden Yellow, Blazing Orange and Bubonic
Brown to the leopard skin.
Stage 2: Apply a mix of two parts Golden Yellow to one
part each of Blazing Orange and Bubonic Brown as the first highlight to
the raised areas. |
  |
Step 3: Add more Golden Yellow to the mix for the
next highlight.
Step 4: Paint straight Golden Yellow onto the very edges
of the highlights. As you can see this makes the skin appear vibrant and
glossy. |
  |
Step 5: Paint spots of Chaos Black all over the skin.
The spots can be various sizes, but should get smaller and fade into
obscurity on the paws, head and tail.
Step 6: Apply a mix of one part Chaos Black to three parts Codex Grey
to highlight the spots. Simply dab the colour into the middle of each spot. |
