Dwarfs Essentials:
The Dwarfs are the most tenacious and determined warriors of the Warhammer world. Their mountain holds are under constant pressure from Orcs, Goblins and Skaven so they must frequently march out to defend their homes and hoards. Even in defeat they record and remember every affront and will miss no opportunity to settle their grudges with the edge of an axe.
What they lack in numbers they more than compensate for with powerful war machines fashioned by their Engineers, with an ingenuity that goes far beyond any other race. Unwilling to use wild magic, they inscribe runes to bind it and thereby create weapons of legend, unparalleled anywhere in the Old World.

Tragic Heroes
Ironically, the units of Slayers in many Dwarf armies rarely find the death they seek due to their general's caution. This series of scenarios, by Ken Kennedy, rectifies that with reckless combat.
On the Trail of a Dragon
Over their long history, the Dwarfs have encountered many dangers.
One of the worst was when a dragon tormented Karak Kadrin for millennia. Play

Way back in 2004, the US Hobby Team built a whole host of tables for that

Though Dwarfs are known for their impressive holds, there are times when

The ancient high language of the Dwarfs is called Khazalid. It is a
deeply conservative language that has not changed noticeably in many
thousands of years either in its spoken or written 'runic' form.

them to be a proud race, defending their mountain realms with fanatical devotion.
