BASING THE ELDAR WARHOST
Basing is an important step in the entire process of building your army. Whether you go for a simplistic approach or a highly detailed look, bases are the finishing touch that make every model you build and paint look great on the battlefield.
By using Green Stuff to fill out your bases or adding bits from enemy armies, there are a variety of different things you can do to make your bases unique.
Here, Nathan Bishop offers up a few ideas of how you can spice up your Eldar army with some dramatically themed bases.

For this base, I used the shoulders from a Dark Eldar Wych. You can't go wrong with putting the remains of your army's mortal enemy when you are designing your bases. |
The inspiration for this base came from some of the great terrain used in Codex: Eldar. I used green stuff to model the "Yin-Yang" swirl. Once that dried, I added the rounded top. |

I wanted to try my hand at making a marbleized base. I used green stuff to create a cracked piece of marble. Then, I stippled various colors to give it the look of marble . |
In this example, I used a Slaanesh standard to represent a fallen enemy of the Eldar. I used green stuff to build up the base and make it look like layered rock on some forsaken world |

The new 60-mm base that comes with the Eldar War Walker and Wraithlord is perfect to use as-is, or you can add some more pieces to it. For this base, I used the head from the Warhammer range's Be'lakor (Storm of Chaos). I added entrails made from green stuff to show the Daemon had met a gruesome fate at the hands of this Eldar war machine.
For this base, I took a plain 60-mm base and used green stuff to make a crater and footprint from a War Walker. Then, for effect, I added in the backpack from an Incubi. For the flock, I used some of the small and medium slate from the Urban Basing Kit.
