DOOOM! DOOOOOOM!
Try using Doom to ensure an Assault you intend to launch later in the turn is devastating instead of merely effective. Doom also combines especially well with a unit that fires lots of shots, such as Dire Avengers or Guardians. It can even the odds against high-Toughness foes and help volleys of Shuriken shred entire squads of 'Gaunts or Orks. Plus, you get a good reason to say "DOOM" in a deep, resounding voice. What's not to like?
HOW VERY FORTUNATE
If one of your units is stuck in the thick of things, likely to attract a lot of fire, or is being used as bait so that you can launch a counterassault upon the enemy's next turn, cast Fortune upon it. Even heavy weapons have a hard time taking down Fortuned Wraithguard or a unit of Dark Reapers holed up in a ruined building. Also try using this power on units with invulnerable saves, such as Seer Councils (a Farseer or two with lots of accompanying Warlocks) Harlequins, or Dire Avengers with a shimmershield to make them even more durable than before.
DO YOU MIND?
Mind War is the nastiest power in the Eldar arsenal because it's just so personal. It has uses beyond bumping off your opponent's shiny new character model, though. Using a Mind War on an enemy veteran sergeant with a power fist can "pull the teeth" out of the unit so that it cannot harm the Wraithguard or Wraithlord about to launch its assault. Similarly, it is great for picking out and neutralising the heavy weapons of tactical squads – one less lascannon is always a good thing for Eldar players.
SUMMONING THE STORM
The Eldritch Storm does a high number of low-Strength hits that only really excel against lightly armoured hordes. Alternatively, try using it against vehicles – the Storm has an average Armour Penetration of 10, but can reach as high as 15. Not only that, but you can sometimes use the random spin effect triggered by the power to leave the enemy vehicle with its vulnerable side or rear armour exposed.
SEEKING GUIDANCE
Guide is a pretty straightforward power, used to make something that is already shooty into a merciless killing machine. Try combining it with a unit of War Walkers, Dark Reapers, or a unit of Dire Avengers using the Bladestorm Exarch power. It is especially useful when used with D-cannon, as they are rather inaccurate and can use the help. As with all the Farseer powers that allow rerolls, it does one thing very well: drastically decrease the chances of the dice letting you down at a critical moment. What 40K player couldn't buy into that.
