STEP 2 - GET THE BOOK

Warhammer RulebookEmpire Armybook

Once you've explored the idea of the Empire and decided that it's the Warhammer army for you, the next step to take is to get Warhammer Armies: The Empire.

Of course, to get the most from this Empire Army book, you'll need the main Warhammer rules! You can get these rules in the Warhammer rulebook (shown left) or in the Battle for Skull Pass boxed set. Either way, the Warhammer rules will help you understand the gaming information presented in Warhammer Armies: The Empire, and put it all in the context of the greater Warhammer world.

The Empire Army List. The army list takes all of the warriors presented in the previous section and arranges them so you can choose an army for your games. Units are classed as either Characters, Units, Special Units, or Rare Units and can be taken in different quantities depending on the size of the game you are playing. Each unit also has a points value to help ensure you can pit your army against an opponent's in a fair match.

In the final section, you will see photographs of the range of Citadel miniatures available for the Empire army, gloriously painted by Games Workshop's 'Eavy Metal team. Colour schemes for the different provinces of the Empire and example armies can all be found in this section.

Once you've gotten your own copy of Warhammer Armies: The Empire, it's time to start building your army of miniatures.
