BATTLE IN THE FOREST
The Great Forest of the Empire is a dark and foreboding place that even the armies of the Emperor will avoid if at all possible. Sometimes, however, a force must be deployed into this deadly part of the Old World. Unless traveling on the roads that pass through this massive forest, moving troops is extremely difficult due to the dense and dangerous terrain.
ARMIES
Players should choose their armies to an agreed points total and use Warhammer army lists.
BATTLEFIELD
This battle takes place in the depths of the Great Forest. Cover up almost the entire battlefield with trees. Leave four or five open, 12"-diameter clearings, but otherwise fill up the table. You are deep in the forest!
DEPLOYMENT
Use the standard deployment (as described on p. 2 of the Warhammer rulebook). Troops may begin the game in Loose Order (see below).
WHO GOES FIRST?
Both players roll a D6. The player with the highest score may choose to go first or second (reroll ties).
LENGTH OF GAME
This game lasts 6 turns, or until one side surrenders.
SPECIAL RULES
Into the Woods. Due to the dense forest, units fighting this battle must obey the rule for Flyers found in the Jungle Fighting rules (p. 5 of Warhammer Realms: Lustria). Also, units may adopt the Loose Order rules found on p. 7 of Warhammer Realms: Lustria.
VICTORY CONDITIONS
Victory Points are awarded as normal.
