Dave Taylor: When I chose my Ostlander theme (Beastman hunters), I knew I wanted my Lord model to be visually linked to Ostland, the Valmir von Raukov model, and Beastmen. To these ends, I tried to link them in the following ways.
- Ostland. Replace the sun motif on the right flank of the steed with the head of a bull and the heavy use of black and white in the paint scheme, the traditional symbol and colours of Ostland, respectively.
- The Valmir von Raukov model. Add fur trim and tassels to the cloak, an integral part of the model. In addition, the script on the scroll beneath the bull head was replaced with "von Raukov"... no one ever said I was subtle.
- Beastmen. Replace the head of the double-handed hammer with two Beastmen axe blades joined to make one axe head. So far most people have recognised their origin.
Character Background: Marshal Leopold von Raukov, Grand Master of the Knights of the Order of the Bull, Cousin to the Grand Elector of Ostland, His Grace Valmir von Raukov. Leopold von Raukov is a mightily proud man – proud of his country, his province, his family, his Knightly Order, and most importantly, he is fiercely proud of the stubbornness and bravery of Ostlanders. Wielding his Great Axe, forged from the twin axes of a mighty Beastlord, Leopold is always searching for new foes and driving the enemies of the Empire from the forests he calls home. Few have dared to stand before him or a "bull" charge from his Knights!
