GAMES DAY 2002 WEB TEAM BATTLE
![]()
What if in the twentieth year of the Emperor Karl Franz’s reign, Archaon, Lord of the End Times, led a great invasion force from the Northern Wastes?
What
if he erased Kislev from the map in a lightning onslaught, leaving the north
border of the Empire open to invasion? What if Archaon’s horde of Chaos
crossed the River Urskoy into the Empire, forging a path of fire and blood in
his wake? This scenario supposes that this turn of events has occurred, and
that the first line of defence against the Chaos horde is the army of the valiant
Elector Count of Ostermark. Outmatched by the forces of Chaos, the defenders
of Ostermark prepare to sell their lives dearly.
The Count assembles his army on the south bank of the River Talabec, north of
the town of Bechafen, to block the passage of the Chaos army as it loots and
pillages its way westward.
However,
all is not completely lost. Resurrecting their alliance from the time of the
Great War against Chaos, over two hundred years ago, a contingent of High Elves
from Ulthuan come sailing to aid the defence of the Empire. With the Emperor’s
blessing, the High Elf fleet, commanded by none other than Tyrion himself, enters
the Empire via Marienburg and sails down the River Reik, their white sails carrying
them swiftly towards the Talabec to bolster the strength of the army of Ostermark.
This exciting scenario will be played at the Web Team area at Games Day 2002! See the action unfold in this mammoth battle as Chaos, commanded by Adrian Wood (using his Chaos army) and Dylan Owen (with his Marauders of Chaos), rampages across the battlefield against a heroic last stand by the Empire, commanded by Mark Owen, and High Elves, commanded by Mark Raynor (using his High Elf army)!
The game will began at 10am and continued on until 3:30pm. Find out more and see some exciting Special Rules developed especially for the game by downloading the entire scenario!
