The weekend of Games Day 2006 is finally here. With just a few hours remaining before the doors open, see the event being set up within the walls of the Birmingham NEC. Our brave reporters have fought their way clear to give you this exclusive insight! We'll be bringing a full report online during the week after the event, so log back in then to check it out if you were there or to see what you missed.

THE PAVILION

Within the Pavilion is the Golden Demon area, the Design Studio, White Dwarf stand (with loads of WD322 available early!), Archive, Sabretooth Games, Warhammer Historical, Warhammer Online, Warhammer: Mark of Chaos, THQ with Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, the Black Library, Black Industries and the fantastic GCN gaming area!

THE ARENA

The Arena sees all the huge mega battles for Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000 and The Lord of The Rings. It also has the stage in it for the end ceremony to crown the Golden Demon Slayer Sword winner.

THE FORUM

The Forum contains all the sales stands with great pre-releases miniatures for sale (always a great perk for Games Day, this year Eldar). It also houses Forge World and their design area, the Bring and Battle tables and, of course, the hobby area including assembly area, terrain building, conversion and army clinic to name but a few!
