WHAT IS GAMES DAY?
Games Day & Golden Demon is Games Workshop's premier show in the world. A day designed to highlight the size, splendour and excitement that is our hobby.
Games Day is first and foremost a celebration of the Games Workshop hobby. A day to meet up with old friends and shoot the breeze. A chance to bump into a few of the famous faces from the pages of White Dwarf. An opportunity to re-tell stories of combat past and join the fray upon the many fields of battles that await out on the main arena floor.
Hobbyists travel from near and far in order to join the many people who help make Games Day and Golden Demon what it is. Each year’s show features a multitude of participation games that you can dive into and take part; from quick play skirmishes to full on grand battles. All the miniatures are provided. All you have to do is turn up and play!
The combined skills, imagination and enthusiasm of the Gaming Club Network and Games Workshop Hobby Centres are manifest in the range and diversity of the games on offer at Games Day. All you have to do is roll up to a table and ask to join in. Great deeds of heroics and valour await the brave!
THE BIRMINGHAM NEC
Games Day & Golden Demon 2005 is the first year that this premiere show has changed venue, relocating to the Briming NEC. As well as being easier to reach by car and plane, the NEC provides far more room - so much in fact, that the action of Games Day now take place in three separate halls; the Forum, Arena, and Pavillion.
