The School League
A GUIDE FOR TEACHERS

Page: 1|2

School LeagueThe School League is a great opportunity for school clubs to get involved in a series of activities in their local Games Workshop store, culminating in a tournament – the Regional Final; the winners of which are invited to the National Final to find who are the best players in the UK!

The League is open to all pupils aged between 12 and 18; this is to say all pupils in school years 7 to 12 are able to take part regardless of if they are in a secondary, middle or prep school. To register and take part in League activities we need to speak to the teacher who runs the club or who is the staff liaison.

The School League starts in September with a whole range of free activities taking place in all of our Games Workshop stores. These include army building, tactics and painting tutorials to name but a few. These activities will help your club be fighting fit for the Regional Finals and ready to challenge all comers!

The first months of the League are when clubs get their members together and decide for which systems they want send in teams (Warhammer, Warhammer 40,00 and Lord of the Rings); some schools pick one, others send in teams for all three.

The School League is far more than just a competition, in fact the Regional and National Finals are the peak of the programme. It was designed for both pupils and teachers of different schools to get together and socialise with other clubs.

Games Worksop produces a series of School League packs which are designed to help you and your students get involved with the School League.

For further information on the School League please contact the Community Coordinator or download the current School League packs from the Club Resources page.
