TAKING THE WAR MÛMAK
OF HARAD ONE STEP FURTHER
With the War Mûmak of Harad loose upon the world in miniature form (well, not so miniature!), you can now truly re-create the pivotal Battle of Pelennor Fields on your tabletop. This gigantic plastic kit has got to be the largest one Games Workshop has ever produced. As such, it is by no means a simple kit to assemble or paint. I'm not saying that it's impossible, but it ain't a breeze. So, if you're going to invest some time on this great model, you might as well go the extra mile!
What am I talking about? Well, if you look at film stills of the Mûmak from The Return of The King film, you'll notice a few things. First off, you'll see just how great a job the GW sculptors did in re-creating this mammoth beast in plastic form. Secondly, you'll note that each Mûmak has personalized battle gear built by the Harad. No two beasts are the same. Some have additional spikes on their tusks, and most have a series of ropes running throughout the howdah on their back. To help you customize your own Mûmak, I've taken a bunch of photos that show you how you can make these additions.
There are six different projects to check out. Try one, two, or all of them to model your Mûmak like the one shown on the right. Click one of the links below and get started!
