MASTERCLASS PAINTING GALLERY
A notorious figure in the land of Harad, Dalamyr has been one of the foremost fleetmasters for many long years. Though growing old, his influence within the tortuous politics of Umbar, coupled with his skills as a Hâsharin - the mysterious and deadly order of Haradrim assassins - make him an opponent to be feared, both within and without the southlands.
Below, you will find a gallery of the Dalamyr miniature as painted by Pete Foley of the 'Eavy Metal Team. Click any of the images below for a larger view.
Tattoos. The tattoos were painted with fine lines of Chaos Black mixed with Regal Blue.
Trousers. The trousers were painted with a basecoat of Scorched Brown. This was shaded with a wash of Chaos Black mixed with Scorched Brown. The cloth was then highlighted by adding Bleached Bone.
Belt and Daggers. The gold on the belt was painted with Shining Gold, washed with Chestnut Ink and highlighted by adding Mithril Silver to Shining Gold. The handles of the daggers were painted using Dark Flesh highlighted by adding Bleached Bone.
Sword. The sword blade was painted with Boltgun Metal. This was washed with watered-down Chaos Black and the highlighted with Chainmail and Mithril Silver.
Skin. The skin was basecoated with a layer of Bestial Brown. To highlight, a layer of Dwarf Flesh was applied to the face. This was highlighted by adding Bleached Bone in increasing amounts to Dwarf Flesh.
Cloak. The cloak was painted with a layer of Liche Purple. This was shaded by washing a watered-down mix of Liche Purple and Chaos Black into the recesses. This was then highlighted by adding Fortress Grey into Liche Purple.
Pouches. The pouches were painted with a basecoat of Scorched Brown. This was shaded with a wash of Chaos Black mixed with Scorched Brown. The cloth was then highlighted by adding Bleached Bone.
Boots. The straps around the boots were painted with Graveyard Earth and highlighted with Bleached Bone and then with just a touch of Skull White.
