A SCENARIO FOR THE LORD OF THE RINGS
After Lord Elrond gives Aragorn a pep talk and hands him Anduril, the future King takes off to try to muster the Army of the Dead in defence of Gondor. Naturally, Gimli and Legolas will not permit their friend to tread this dangerous path alone. Though it confuses the warriors of Rohan, the three Heroes leave the Dunharrow encampment for the Dimholt Road.

STARTING POSITIONS
The Good player places his forces in the Good side's deployment zone (a 6"x3" area at the centre of the table edge opposite the cave entrance, long side along the edge).
The Evil player deploys his forces from the Dark Door entrance as described in the Special Rules below.
OBJECTIVES
If the Good player can get all three Heroes through the Dark Door cave entrance, he wins. If the Good player loses Gimli or Legolas but manages to get Aragorn through the Dark Door, the game is a draw. If the Good player fails to get anyone through the entrance by the end of the game, or the Evil player kills Aragorn and one of the other Good Heroes, the Evil player wins.
SPECIAL RULES
The Way Is Shut. The Warriors of the Dead deploy from the Dark Door in groups of five models. One of these groups deploys during the End phase of each turn, beginning with Turn 1. You cannot "recycle" Warriors – once they leave the game, they are gone. The Warriors of the Dead must immediately make their way towards the closest of the three Heroes. In this scenario, the Warriors of the Dead can only exist outside the Paths of the Dead for a short time. During the End phase of their 3rd turn of existence, they dissolve into a glowing green fog that creeps back into the Dark Door. Obviously, you will need to keep careful track of when each Warrior of the Dead deployed.
Pieces in Motion. Time is growing short for Gondor and the Free Peoples of Middle-earth, and Aragorn knows it. He must face the King of the Dead soon or all is lost. Thus, this scenario has a time limit – it ends after 12 turns of play.
OPTIONAL
If you want more of a challenge, reduce the time limit to 10 turns. If you are completely foolhardy, you can try it in 8 turns (the Good player had better possess The One Ring if he wants to win in 8 turns). For another twist, we recommend you switch sides and try your hand at both the Good and Evil roles.
