THE HIGH ELVES
OF GAMES DAY LOS ANGELES
In a slight departure from how we have done collecting articles in the past, the High Elves army presented on the following pages was created as a preview of the new High Elves Army book at is official debut Gamesday Los Angeles. This army contains old and new models, but it did a great job of showcasing what High Elf players can expect out of the new Army book. John Shaffer of Games Workshop's US promotions team talks a little about what went into making this army.

army was a
combined effort of Sean Forbes, Dave Taylor, John Shaffer, and Stuart
Spengler, the last three of which all work for the promotions department at GW-US. Sean, a beloved fellow employee who had recently passed away, and we decided that we should finish the army in
Sean's memory and put it on display at LA Games Day.
he paint scheme is the classic white and blue often seen in the army books. We wanted to stick to that, as it was Sean's choice and a very iconic scheme for the army. Even though the force was painted by three separate people, you would never know looking at it. We all strove to use the same painting style comprised of layering and clean highlights to achieve a uniform look. Space Wolves Grey, Skull White, Regal Blue Ultramarines Blue, Mithril Silver and Shining Gold washed with Flesh Wash were the colours we used predominantly.
