THE CHRONICLES OF THE PHOENIX KINGS
The origins of the High Elves are rooted in the nativity of the world, when they were birthed onto the island paradise of Ulthuan. Now they are but a race in its twilight after bitter wars have sapped the High Elves' strength. The first third of Warhammer Armies: High Elves details this passage from grace to diminishing glory.

The island-continent of Ulthuan, home of the Elven Kingdoms.
Of course, the role of the High Elves is by no means over in the Warhammer world – far from it. The Outer and Inner Kingdoms of Ulthuan can still field powerful armies of skill and magic, and their cities still outshine those of the younger races. This part of the High Elves Army book explores the character of each Elven kingdom as well as looking at the culture and beliefs of this ancient people. Lastly, this section of the Army book examines the history of each Phoenix King, be it tragic or hopeful.

With the support of a Dragon Mage of Caledor, these High Elves can't lose.
THE FORCES OF ULTHUAN
he next 30 pages of the book look at each of the units and mighty heroes who stand in defence of Ulthuan and the Everqueen. Each unit entry gives the character and background of that warrior or group of warriors, along with gaming statistics and special rule descriptions. Everything you need to know about the essence of a High Elf army can be found in this section.
