BY DOMINIC MURRAY

Paladin Took

Paladin Took

Paladin is an old Hobbit and should be painted in a way that reflects his age. Some simple drybrushing on his long coat will create a suitably weathered appearance.

Coat

Steps 1 - 3
1

To highlight the black undercoat on Paladin's coat, make a 1:2 mix of Bleached Bone and Chaos Black and apply it to the raised areas.

2

Add a bit more Bleached Bone to your mix and paint a fine highlight on the edges of the coat.

3

To obtain a weathered appearance, drybrush the bottom of the coat Scorched Brown.

Steps 1 - 3
4

Next, drybrush Bestial Brown on the bottom of the coat. Leave some of the Scorched Brown showing near the top.

5

Drybrush Vomit Brown on the bottom of the coat. By leaving some of the Bestial Brown showing, you will give the impression of weathering.

6

Finally, drybrush Bleached Bone onto the bottom of the coat to finish the weathered pattern.
