MAKING CHAOS MONOLITHS

Page: 1|2|3|4|5

SLAANESH

Most monoliths built in honour of a champion of Slaanesh are better left unseen. Such perverse depiction's of flesh and blood simply should not be! Some cool ideas for Slaanesh monoliths could be a giant tongue, a twisted piece of flesh rising to the sky, or huge eyeball atop a spindly neck.

Monolith under construction The finished monolith

This monolith is essentially a sculpting project. An armature was first made out of cardboard and completely covered with epoxy putty. Then, using sculpting tools and a hobby knife, the flesh of the monolith was made. Simple lines were used to simulate musculature and strange tentacles were then placed on the base. To finish of the piece, a doll eye from a craft shop was grafted onto the top off the monolith. The eye was covered with scotch tape and then the whole thing was undercoated using Skull White. The tape was removed and the monolith was painted a fleshy pink colour.
