Ty Finocchiaro: For the final batch of Warg Riders, I decided to stop the violence and leave all the standard Warg Rider plastic heads intact. Instead, I focused on a few arm swaps and repositionings. The first model on the left demonstrates one such swap. I simply removed the extended sword hand and replaced it with a gloved one grasping a spear. No putty involved — just a quick pin and some some glue. For the other model, I did the same with a raised shield arm. For this fella, I clipped an axe hand from the Mordor Orc sprue and made it fit in a position resting on the Warg's back. I smoothed some putty over the hand to look like a fingerless glove.

The other two models were pretty straightforward quiver/weapon conversions. With these guys done, I set off to paint all the models, which turned out to be quite easy — earthy colours, varied skin tones, and blood spatter made the task a joy.
With the exception of the Frodo and Sam in Orc armour bits, I managed to complete every conversion with just a bit of ingenuity, the Mordor Orc sprue, and the Warg Rider sprue. Just goes to show what can be done with "boring old" plastics if you give them some thought and devote some effort toward your work!
