PAINTING ISENGARD URUK-HAI
The nasty, brutal Uruk-hai are a major threat to Middle-earth.
Their crude armour hides the bestial visage that lurks beneath, but
does not mask the fury of their actions. They attack in nigh unstoppable
armies numbering in the thousands. Fortunately for the commanders of Evil, they
are a snap to paint. With a little patience, you
will soon discover the joy of painting Uruk-hai and have a horde of snarling
creatures to unleash on all your unsuspecting
friends!
After
a good undercoating of Chaos Black, start by drybrushing
the entire model with Tin Bitz. |
|
|
Next,
drybrush Boltgun Metal very lightly so that only
the
edges of the armour are highlighted. |
|
|
Clean
up your model by using a slightly watered down
Chaos
Black on all non-metal areas like the skin and loincloth. |
|
Basecoat
the skin with Dark Flesh and the loincloth with
Scorched
Brown. Leave Chaos Black in the deep recesses of
the model. |
|
|
Highlight
the raised areas of the skin with a 50/50 mix
of Dwarf
Flesh and Dark Flesh. |
|
|
Highlight
the loincloth with Bestial Brown. Using a Fine
Detail
brush carefully paint the teeth using Rotting Flesh.
After all, Uruk-hai don't brush their teeth! |
