Khazad-dûm Sourcebook
Khazad-dûm Sourcebook
Khazad-dûm is part of a range of The Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game (SBG) supplements. This book is a great follow-on to the Mines of Moria boxed set or the main SBG rulebook, and you will need a copy of the rules to make full use of the gaming material presented in Khazad-dûm.

Within the pages of this supplement, you'll find out about the dark, dangerous realm of Khazad-dûm. Ages ago, the Dwarves of Durin carved out their kingdom under the Misty Mountains, creating halls of stone and mines that reached deep under Middle-earth. The Dwarves traded the Mithril they found there and became wealthy from it. They even managed to sally forth against Sauron at critical times, much to the Dark Lord's ire. However, the Dwarves eventually delved too deeply in Khazad-dûm and unleashed an ancient demon known as the Balrog. This Evil power proved too strong for the Dwarves, and it drove them from their ancestral halls.

Khazad-dûm contains background information, army lists, a terrain showcase, painting guides, and playable scenarios.

THE HISTORY OF DURIN'S FOLK

The History of Khazad-dûmKhazad-dûm is the setting for a lot of the action in The Fellowship of The Ring film, and it played a key role in the history of Middle-earth. In this part of the supplement, you'll find a history of this underground ream, from its ancient beginnings to its current fallen state. It also presents a detailed map of Khazad-dûm, which will prove useful as you concoct your own gaming scenarios in this realm of Middle-earth.

Furthermore, the history of Khazad-dûm is full of great warriors on both sides. This section of the supplement presents profiles on the various Heroes and Warriors who have fought in Khazad-dûm. It also looks at the military forces that have fought on its behalf, including the Khazad-dûm Army, the Army of Erebor, Durin's Folk, the Moria Army, and the Dwellers Below army.

Building the Halls of Khazad-dûmTERRAIN SHOWCASE AND PAINTING GUIDES

Khazad-dûm is full of great-looking terrain that will inspire you to build your own versions for your tabletop games. It even features a few scenery-building tips to help you get started. Of course, no LOTR supplement would be complete without detailed painting guides for all the cool models coming out with Khazad-dûm, and this supplement has five such guides.
