This
is my 1,500-point army that I used for the Staff Challenge at Baltimore Games
Day. How did it work? Terrifyingly well! Under several different Generals and
against several types of armies, the greenies (well, dark greenies) krushed
'em all.
The massed Boyz (upgraded to Big 'Uns) were very solid; the Black Orcs are formidable; and the artillery rained doom to soften any fearsome-looking enemy units.
While the army is short of characters, it doesn't seem to hurt the fighting ability of the forces at all. Any enemy must respect the hard-hitting nature of the Boar Boyz, Giant, and Boar Chariot, and thus will often get swept up by the Boyz and Black Orcs (no slouches at combat for a bunch of footsloggers!).
