It's odd how things work out sometimes. After my last battle with the Feral Orks I decided to get together a lot more Huntas for my army. If I was going to invest in painting a load of Huntas I wanted to be sure that I wasn't wasting my time. So for my next game I decided to try to borrow some Shoota Boyz/Huntas off Warlord Alex Boyd. There's always been an understanding between all the Ork Warlords in the Studio that we can borrow each other's models anytime it's convenient. However, when I came back from seeing him I was amazed to find myself the proud owner of sixty Huntas! It turns out that Alex has replaced his older mobs of Gorkamorka Orks for the new plastic ones. I walked in at the right moment and got a whole new army for free!

What was even funnier was that within a few days Space McQuirke, Alex, Andy Chambers and myself had all agreed to fight a 3,000 point multi-player, Feral Ork VS Ork battle. Alex is going to find himself facing his own troops, I'll warrant!
For this battle I turn over to Space McQuirke for his observations:

| Andy C and Alex pounce on the Feral Orks. |
Space: I had been working on painting and putting together a Feral Ork army alongside the list for nearly a year. With some help from some fellow Ork Warlords it had shaped up into a very characterful and fun army list, but was it worth the paper it was printed on? Alex Boyd approached me with a challenge, his Boyz vs mine ... how could I refuse.
Then that night whilst chatting with Andy Chambers a few beers addled my brain and the next thing I knew I was calling his Orks ''techno-wanna-be Space Marines''. He took the abuse well and duly challenged me to a fight. Right so that was two to one. Only one course of action, bring in the great Orky fanatic Adi Wood to help me. Adi had been testing the Feral Orks and together I knew we could show these Boyz a thing or two.
Having deployed our Huntas around the objective totem pole we thought ourselves so numerous that nobody could get us. Alas, "nun too cunnin' in da ways of strategy an' all dat.", Adi's boyz were in assault range of Alex's Cyborks who proceeded to demolish all thirty as though they were Grots. Oh he also demolished thirty Grots as though they were Snotlings. Over sixty casualties in the first turn and barely a shot fired. Things looked grim for the Feral Orks and with the failure of most of my reinforcements to arrive it looked even worse. Then came a gleam of hope.
Will the Feral Orks survive?
