KHANDISH CHARIOT CONVERSION IDEAS
Feared by all souls in the East of Middle-earth, the Chariots of Khand are fast and lethal. Find out how to model them to fit with your Khandish horde.
The Khandish Host bring a powerful force to the gaming table that the Free Peoples may prefer not to face: chariots. These one-man, two-wheeled vehicles of destruction are considered monstrous mounts – a status previously enjoyed pretty much exclusively by Fell Beasts. As such, Charioteers laugh in the face of enemy cavalry models, then crush them under a combination of hooves, axe swings, and steel-rimmed wheels. Furthermore, it's pretty tough to actually hit the guy driving a chariot from afar, so most missile fire ends up bouncing off the Defence 6 chariot frame.
However, that's just a standard Charioteer Warrior! A Khandish King mounted in a chariot has a Heroic profile, better Fight value, more Attacks, and acts as a Banner for all Khandish models. With that kind of prowess, it only make sense that a Khandish King proudly astride his chariot deserves a bit of extra attention when it comes to modelling. On the following pages, two hobbyists show you how they took stock chariot models and made them unique.
