Nathan Bishop: This new Company Master miniature appears to be an homage to the classic Dark Angels Captain model. His stoic pose is as if he is contemplating the next move before giving an order. For this conversion, I decided to add some ceremonial wings to his back. For the wings, I used the Empire Standard from the Warhammer Empire General boxed set (this plastic bit is sure show up in other Dark Angels conversions, as it fits the Dark Angel's iconography). I carefully removed the middle part of the standard while being extra careful not to remove too much of the wing in the process. Then, I attached the wings with super glue to the back of the model. Make sure you dry-fit the wings before you glue them so that they fit well. I also had to build out the backpack connection point with Green Stuff so that the backpack could still attach over the wings.
