MAKING FORTRESS MONASTERY RUINS
Perhaps you're fighting on The Rock, or maybe on a planet previously occupied by the Dark Angels. Either way, you'll want some fortress monastery ruins for your games. We take you through the stages of building your own Dark Angels-themed terrain pieces.

Imperial Guard troops aid the few remaining Dark Angels in the reclamation of a once-proud monastery.
Nothing spices up a game of Warhammer 40,000 like a great piece of terrain for your models to vie for supremacy. In this case, we'll show you how to construct a long-forgotten section of a ruined fortress monastery, like the one above. Once complete, the ruined structure will easily serve as the focal point of a battle, or series of battles. Who knows, perhaps inspiration will hit and you'll build similar terrain pieces that use the techniques explained here. These pages take you through each of the necessary steps with plenty of photographs for reference. You'll see how we use the entire contents of a single Basilica Administratum boxed set and common hobby items to create a cool piece of terrain of which you'll be proud. We've even designed a series of PDF templates to make this project easier. Simply gather the supplies from the list below, print out the PDF templates, look over the instructions, head to your hobby work area, and build yourself some Dark Angels terrain.
