Sniper Drone teams consist of a single Tau Spotter and three Rail Rifle-equipped Drones. Each team is equipped to provide pinpoint-accurate, anti-personnel firepower, and they do this best when working in groups of two or three such teams.

Drones are independent artificial intelligences, programmed to protect the Tau. Unlike the Imperium, the Tau make extensive use of machine intelligences. Normally, Drones will require regular orders from a Tau, but when several intelligences are networked together in a squadron, the Drones become capable of acting independently for a long period.

You may take a Sniper Drone Team in your Tau army as a Heavy Support choice.
