COMMANDERS
The Shas'o leads the army from behind. His very good Ballistic Skill means he can inflict casualties every turn. His Positional Relay is also a perfect way to make sure one of your Reserves arrives when you need it. Being the supreme commander of the army, Shas'O'Tter wears a white battlesuit and his rank is also displayed with red markings. The weathering of his armour is a testimony to his physical engagement. To further emphasis his commanding presence, he was mounted on a 60 mm base. |
The Shas'el's role is to eliminate the enemy vehicles fitted with ordnance weapons, using his deepstriking ability. His shield and his independent character status make him quite resilient. This was the first miniature painted for my hunter cadre. Since I had already created some terrain, I decided to base the model with the same techniques. The black and white areas of the battlesuit contrast nicely with the rusty colour of the rock and the sand. Small additions of red and blue bring the miniature to life. |
MOBILE BATTLESUIT TEAMS
Crisis Battlesuits
The colour scheme for the Crisis units is based on the Shas'el's original scheme. To distinguish the teams, I applied a theme to each one. Although every single Shas'ui has his own markings, other parts are shared amongst the team such as the black and white shoulder pads. On the other hand, the Stealth Battlesuits display a very special colour scheme to represent their armour disappearing under their Stealth Field Generator

This team of two fusion blaster equipped battlesuits double up as ordnance hunters to help support the Shas'el. Click to enlarge.

The leader of the Crisis is equipped with plasma rifle and missile pod, a very lethal combination.

Stealth Battlesuits
The XV25 with enhanced Ballistic Skill are the bane of less protected infantry such as Orks, Eldars, Tyranids. They are especially deadly when they team up with Pathfinders. Their ability to infiltrate is also very useful when attacking behind enemy lines. Click to enlarge.
