PRE-GAME STRATEGY FOR THE FORCES OF GOOD

Ken Kennedy
Ken Kennedy
Ken: Oh, Merry and Pippin, where are you when I need you! In the Amon Sûl scenario, Frodo and Sam are alone on Weathertop trying to defend themselves against the Witch-king and four of his Evil fellows. Aragorn is in the woods nearby, but will he arrive in time to help the Hobbits?

Without Merry and Pippin, and playing with a weakened Sam and Frodo, I'm in a bit of trouble. My plan with the Hobbits is to move away from the Witch-king and toward one of the weaker Ringwraiths. While I have little hope of killing a Nazgûl with my Hobbit swords, the flaming brands might scare off one from the battlefield.

Aragorn MUST arrive in the 2nd or 3rd turn if I'm to have any hope of surviving this encounter. If he does not show in this time period, only exceptional luck will keep the Hobbits from falling to Black Darts or Morgul Blades.

If Aragorn arrives in time, victory is still not assured. He is greatly outnumbered with little support from the injured Hobbits. Hopefully, he can repel Ty's Evil magic long enough to cut down a few Ringwraiths and even the odds a bit.
