FORCES OF EVIL POST-GAME CONCLUSIONS

Ty Finocchiaro
Ty Finocchiaro
Ty: Hey, there was a very real chance of killing Gandalf there. That was unexpected. After the 11-dice barrage of Black Darts, it was looking like a decent combat (where he would have been pretty outnumbered...) would have seen a Morgul Blade or three in his chest. However, I forgot that Ken had the option of running Gandalf off the table like a little girl to let the Dúnedain do all the work. Which was smart on his part, I can't argue with that. Because I was unaware that Gandalf could simply move off the table, I did not attempt to Transfix him and thus the sneaky Wizard made his escape.

Once Gandalf was out of the picture, I was left with the task of reaching the far, far, far-away table edge. Six Dúnedain blockers and a single Will point per Nazgûl meant that the rest of the game was a foregone conclusion. Yet, Ken dragged it out as long as he could to gloat over my failure, and in the end, all the Nazgûl were charged and subsequently banished. Oh well, at least the scenario turned out better than I had hoped. So close, Gandalf, so very close! You can bet I'll be double checking each special rule ahead of time from here on out.
