CREATING ARCTIC BASES AND TERRAIN
Snow-covered bases are perfect for the armies from the icy land of Forochel, far to the north of the Shire, past Evendim, but any army can benefit from a strong winter theme.
All of the basing techniques described here start with the same technique: glue sand and gravel to the base and prime the whole thing with Chaos Black Spray Primer. This is best accomplished if you affix the sand while building the model and then prime the whole figure at once. Once the model is painted, follow these steps to finish the base.
Remember that these techniques aren't only limited to model bases. Any of these methods can be used to create an entire snow-covered, frost-bitten battlefield! Click the links or images below to see how it's done.
