WITH THE RETURN OF THE KING
PREPARE THE BATTLEFIELD
Once
you gather your models, you'll need a place to play your games. Any sturdy tabletop
will do. For terrain, you don't need much to start playing. You can keep it
as simple as a piece of cloth draped over a pile of books for a hill and household
items representing terrain. It's up to you how far you want to go from there.
Well-built terrain really enhances the realism of your gameplay, and The Return
of The King features pages of full colour terrain that'll inspire you to try
your hand at creating your own. If you're really excited about making exquisite
terrain, the Games Workshop web site or the Hobby Specialists at your nearby
Games Workshop Hobby Center can teach you a wide variety of terrain building
skills.
FIND AN OPPONENT
The
final piece of the puzzle you'll need is another player! There are many players
of The Lord of The Rings around the globe. You can find them at your nearest
Games Workshop Hobby Centre or Independent Stockist, both of which also host
many gaming nights and other events where gamers abound. If those places aren't
convenient, check around your area for local gaming clubs. You'd be surprised
how many there are around the world. Finally, you can attend a Games Workshop
event like Games Day or a Grand Tournament/Conflict. These events are always
popular with players, and you'll likely find others from your region who are
looking for gamers like you.

In addition to going out and playing games, be sure to feed your brain everything you can about the The Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game to keep up with potential opponents. Visit the Games Workshop website and pick up White Dwarf magazine as it comes out each month (or get a subscription). There's always something new for you to read about, like painting tips, scenarios, modelling techniques, new releases, sneak peeks, game winning tactics, and scenery projects... to name but a few. There is much more to the The Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game than you may have first thought. Good luck with The Return of The King, and may your dice roll in your favour more often than not. |
