ASSEMBLING BUHRDûR - FILLING THE GAPS
Click the images below to see larger versions.
As you can see in this close-up picture, there is a substantial gap between the arms and the body even after gluing Buhrdûr together. Mix up some Green Stuff and get ready for gap filling. |
|
Roll the Green Stuff into a thin strip and place it over the gap. Then, using the blunt end of the sculpting tool, push the Green Stuff into the gap. Wetting your tool with water will keep the Green Stuff from sticking to the tool. Scrape off any excess Green Stuff. |
|
The next step is to sculpt the Green Stuff to resemble the hair on Buhrdûr's back. Using the flat edge of the sculpting tool, you can push the Green Stuff in to the crevices of hair that are already sculpted and follow those lines. Dragging the tool through the Green Stuff will give you a similar texture as the hair. |
Follow these steps to fill in the rest of the gaps on the model. Sometimes it's a good idea to let one part dry before you add Green Stuff to another part, as you might accidentally touch a part you had previously modelled and leave a fingerprint in the Green Stuff.
