COMPLETING GûLAVHAR

Gûlavhar's wings and neck are both places where you will want to use Green Stuff to smooth the transition between those intricate pieces. |
|
First, apply a small amount of Green Stuff to the gaps you wish to fill on the wings. Using the sculpting tool and some water (so that the Green Stuff won't stick), smooth the Green Stuff into the gap. |
|
Once you have enough Green Stuff in the gap, use the pointed end of the sculpting tool to press in lines in the putty that mimic the lines in Gûlavhar's skin. Your goal is to make the Green Stuff blend in so it will virtually disappear after you paint it. |
The same techniques can be used in the examples above to smooth out the gaps where the head attaches to the neck. Employing the sharper end of the sculpting tool will help your re-create the muscles and skin patterns already on Gûlavhar. |
As you can see from these finished shots, Gûlavhar has a few spots that may require the use of Green Stuff. However, that extra bit of work will really make your finished Gûlavhar and Buhrdûr models look great and also help them endure the rigors of The Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game.
