The action-packed gaming hall!Once again the Warhammer Doubles Tournament lived up to its reputation for fun and just a touch of organised chaos.

178 gamers arrived at 8:30am to see the new hall layout in Warhammer World and prepare for the seven games across two days that would decide the new Doubles Champions.

Every race in the Warhammer world was represented from the hired swords of the Dogs of War to the mysterious progeny of the Old Ones, the Lizardmen. In fact, it was the Lizardmen Skinks who won through to become the champions in 2005. Congratulations to Chris Taylor and Pete Foley for commanding the winning forces this year.

In total, 90,000 points of troops played 315 games of Warhammer in Warhammer World across the weekend. If you fancy your chances of challenging Pete and Chris at next year's event then check out the Events Diary for the date of the next Warhammer Doubles Tournament. The tournament pack will be updated prior to the event but the basic format will be similar to this year.

So, if you're new to Warhammer and you want to see how a GW tournament works, or if you're a veteran gamer who fancies a light-hearted tournament with friends, then next year's Warhammer Doubles Tournament could be for you.

Good Luck
