Download the Results for: Heat 1
On Saturday 27th July 2002, Warhammer World was
filled with 149 competitors playing in the first heat of the 2002-2003
Warhammer Grand Tournament. Across two days, five battles and many
glasses of bubbly beverages they sought mastery over their opponents,
and a good time was had by all!
The Warhammer Tournament team, headed up by Brian Aderson and Alessio Cavatore,
ran around with reckless abandon to pull-off the best ever Grand Tournament.
The team said afterwards that the competitors were one of the most
relaxed and cheerful
(and easily pleased) lot of gamers they had come across,
and
that they all had a lot of fun making the show happen. Speaking to
the players themselves (and reading their feedback forms afterwards) it
seems that almost
everyone enjoyed the higher standard of games, on glorious terrain,
arranged with a fantastic bunch of hobbyists.
Here for your perusal are the results of Warhammer Heat One, including the full final scores, and a selection of photos from the day as well as the award ceremony. With Heat Two due in October we are eagerly awaiting to see what the second set of contenders hold in store for the show. See you there!
