BRIEF ARMY OVERVIEW
I traditionally build my Vampire Count armies around a solid
core of infantry. A large unit of Grave Guard with 2 units of Skeletons covering
its flanks forms
a pretty durable battle line. The Dire Wolves and a unit of Fell Bats will
be used to attack war machines. The Wolves can also assist in combat with
flank charges, drawing out Night Goblin Fanatics, attacking lone characters,
or whatever. The Wolves and Bats and Ghouls are my flexible (and expendable)
units.
For my characters, I'm fielding 2 Necromancers. With the Invocation
of Nehek, they will boost the Skeleton units, and create new Zombie regiments.
If I'm lucky, at least one of them will have the Gaze of Nagash and
will be able to give my army some shooting. The Wight Lord is one of the toughest
Heroes in the game, and will lead the Grave Guard. The Cursed book is one
of my favourite magic items. The book makes it harder for enemies in proximity
of it to fight in close combat. Toht will stay close to the fighting to
hamper the enemy's attacks.
